The estate

A century of welcoming guests

Built in 1922 in what is now the Saint Dunstans Historic District, the house once ran as a registered bed & breakfast. Today it's a home with room for everyone: old trees, a fire pit, and quiet corners to slow down in.

Alicia has hosted here for 10 years. Blossom, her retriever mix, will probably say hello first.

Questions, answered

Why book direct instead of on Airbnb?
Same home, same host, and no platform service fee (Airbnb typically adds about 14%). You pay securely through Stripe and deal directly with Alicia.
Can we book the whole estate for an event?
Yes. Whole-estate buyouts include the entire estate (the main house, the Garden Cottage, the Bird's Nest, both guest rooms, kitchens and nearly an acre of grounds), except the owner's private suite. Overnight lodging sleeps 8, and more guests are welcome for the event itself. See events.
Do you offer monthly stays?
Yes, and many guests stay for months. Stays of 28+ nights get a monthly discount, and 90+ night stays are exempt from occupancy taxes. Choose dates and we’ll send a custom quote.
Are pets allowed?
Pets are welcome in the Garden Cottage for a small fee. Blossom, our friendly retriever mix, lives on the property.
How far is the Biltmore Estate?
The Biltmore Estate entrance is a short walk away, and downtown Asheville is about a mile.
